Double end mechanical seal is a device that prevents fluid leakage by maintaining contact and sliding relative to the end face (friction pair) perpendicular to the axis of rotation, under the action of fluid pressure and compensation mechanism elasticity, as well as the cooperation of auxiliary seals. Structural features: Double end face, unbalanced type, arbitrary rotation direction, multiple springs.
When the double end mechanical seal works, a suitable specific pressure (clamping force) is generated on the end face of the sealing ring under the combined force of fluid pressure (medium pressure) and the elastic force of the elastic element, so that the two contact end faces (dynamic ring, static ring end face) are tightly adhered to each other, and a very thin liquid film is maintained in the extremely small gap between the two end faces, thus achieving the purpose of sealing.
