1) Measure the size of the sealing surface of the moving ring. This data is used to verify the radial width of the dynamic ring. When selecting different conflict data, the radial width of the hard data conflict surface should be 1~3 mm larger than that of the soft data, otherwise it is easy to form sharp edges on the hard data end face that will be embedded in the soft data end face.
2) Check the gap between the moving ring and the shaft or sleeve. The inner diameter of the stationary ring is usually 1-2mm larger than the shaft diameter. For the moving ring, the inner diameter should be 0.5 to 1 millimeter larger than the shaft diameter to compensate for shaft vibration and deflection. But the gap should not be too large, otherwise the dynamic ring seal will get stuck and damage the mechanical seal function of the kettle.
3) Check the tension of the mechanical seal used for the kettle. The commonly used mechanical seal tightening force for kettles is the end face pressure ratio. If the pressure ratio of the end face is appropriate and too large, the collision surface of the mechanical seal used in the kettle will heat up, accelerate the wear of the end face, and increase the power of the conflict. Too small, simple leakage. The end face pressure ratio is determined in the planning of mechanical seals and can only be determined by measuring the tightness of the mechanical seal during assembly. The usual measurement method is to measure the vertical distance from the installed static ring end face to the cover end face, and then measure the vertical distance from the dynamic ring end face to the cover end face. The difference between the two is the tightening force of the mechanical seal for the kettle.
